RED

Produced by Vin Shambry and Matthew Kerrigan

On June 19th 2022, Alberta House opened its doors again for our first major community event since falling silent in March of 2020. The event included a live band, installation experience, dance, spoken word poetry, and a live performance art painting. Our space went through an incredible transformation as we covered our main hall top to bottom with red fabric and sheer red curtains. We asked that those attending wear red in honor of this national holiday. Why Red?

This color is used to represent both the American flag and the bloodshed historically and in modern day. For this reason it was the chosen color for our celebration.
